EDBI is an innovative and non-profit making business club launched in September 2009 by a group of experienced East Devon based business people.
We aim to offer something different and complimentary to other business clubs/groups within the East Devon area.
Become friends & colleagues of fellow members and maximise your business growth opportunities via member referrals.
The EDBI is currently one of the largest non-profit making business support groups with a healthy, growing membership and avoiding internal competition by allocating membership to only one in each business category.
The Friday EDBI weekly networking breakfasts are held from 7.30 - 9am leaving you with plenty of the day to still effectively run your business. Meetings take place at Woodbury Park Hotel & Golf Club which offers EDBI members excellent meeting facilities as well as fantastic discounts on leisure memberships as well as the chance for some of our golfing enthusiasts to tee off following our meetings.

- a weekly EDBI newsletter highlighting special offers, future speakers and events as well as business information and advice,

Our Chosen Charity
EDBI Supporting Alzheimer's Research UK
Every year the EDBI likes to support and raise funds for local charities. This year we have chosen to support Alzheimer's Research UK.
Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading research charity aiming to defeat dementia. We power world class studies that give us the best chance of beating dementia sooner.
Our pioneering work focuses on prevention, treatment and cure. We are energising a movement across society to support, fund and take part in dementia research. We aim to empower people across all generations through greater understanding of dementia. Together we have the power to defeat dementia. As the UK's leading dementia research charity we firmly believe in the power of research to create a world free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia.
As research experts, we work to make a real difference to people’s lives – now and in the future – by funding world-class pioneering scientists to find preventions, treatments and a cure for dementia. There are over 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia today and this number will increase as our population ages Around every person with dementia are family members and friends, in fact 24.5 million of us in the UK know someone affected by dementia.
The only way to beat dementia is through research, and so we promise to use your donations to fund the very best. The number of UK researchers has risen by 91% in dementia. Last year our supporters’ donations helped to fund 62 new projects and pioneering initiatives. Every £1 invested in fundraising, raises £3 to spend on research and other charitable activities.
None of this would be possible without the support of people like you. We are extremely pleased and excited to be working with the East Devon Business Initiative in 2017 and having you join us in the fight back against dementia.
